hello friends!
wanted to remind you about a couple of shows; first off, our new CD will be delivered next week (the 24th of july), but we will be giving away free 3-song demo CDs, and selling new t-shirts for only $5 at our record release party:

tickets are $10 each, and it's 21 & over. the demo CD has three songs from our new disc, called "taxi down the runway." it's an all-new fighting Iris full-length disc, and it's really sounding good (we think)! we'll also be performing a bunch of new material from "...runway," along with some of the old songs for you long-time "fans".
we'll also be previewing this new material at another los angeles show:

this show is also 21 & over, but as you know, you get there early for dinner and you can stay to watch the show. after this weekend (we're performing at jillian's in san francisco), we're leaving for a month-long tour, but we'll be back with a show at the end of august, and several more local dates in september.

hello friends!
long time no hear! we've been busy, getting ready for a month-long tour, beginning on july 25th (details in a future installment), and also recording the new disc. "taxi down the runway" will be complete around the end of the month, and our record release party is going to be:

we've got tickets for sale @ $10 each, and it's 21 & over (sorry, youngsters! more news for you in a moment). we are looking to sell about 50 tickets to this party (email us at tickets@fightingIris.com, or send the dough to: Stirling Entertainment Group, 1240 E. Ontario Ave., Suite 102-171, Corona, CA 92881); we'll have special giveaways (the new CD, t-shirts, stickers, etc.), and we'll be selling the new CD for only $5 (normally $10). it's an all-new fighting Iris full-length disc, and it's really sounding good (we think)! we'll also be performing mostly new material from "...runway," along with a couple of the old songs for you long-time "fans".

then we're heading up to san francisco for a show on the 19th, before leaving for a month on the 25th (july). new photos are being taken this friday, and a host of new graphics are being developed for the new CD and merchandise. what better way to cap this off? an all-new website! the new site will debut around the time of the CD release party.
so much is happening! we'll be taking a video camera on tour with us, and will be putting select excerpts on the new site; there will also be a "fan area," where we'll display your photos and remarks, and a bulletin board for you to tell us how much our emails bug you! shortly after the CD is released (in september), we'll be releasing an extended CD single (to be determined), with several more new songs, and an in-depth video tour diary. fun stuff!

we go on at 10:50 pm, and it's an ALL-AGES SHOW!
we are not performing again until may, when our live set will consist of almost entirely new songs. . .so this is your last chance to see fighting Iris play songs from "send in the clowns," and "believe." don't miss it!
we've been very busy! unfortunately we've parted ways with Lombardi Management; they were wonderful to us, and we appreciate all their hard work. we are now represented by Stirling Entertainment Group (SEG), a well-connected company that shares our fanatical dedication & vision. together we will really make things happen during 2003! the new CD will be ready by mid-may. . .it's called "taxi down the runway," and it's definitely going to be our best work to date. also in may, we'll be unveiling a horde of fighting Iris merchandise: t-shirts (different styles), stickers, keychains, sweatshirts, mugs, yadda yadda. not sure why i typed that. still, the t-shirts will be VERY cool. we're also heading out on the road shortly -- up the left coast from mid june to early july, and then back east for a month, beginning late july. we'll surely be in your town, so be sure and check it out; we'll be doing radio in most of the major cities, as well, so watch your emailbox for announcements!
