Unreasonably wonderful!
I've followed the fiction trio through their third album and have to say that with the combination that they now have, Bob, TJ, and Frank ... they've got their music nailed. The lyrics are ones that make you hope they weren't written about you. The beauty of Bob's voice often makes you think twice about the words in an attempt to figure out what the correct message is. Is is about love ... or hate? TJ has the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what will be brought to life through his guitar. Truly amazing. And what can I say about Frank and his kit. He is the most amazing drummer I've ever seen. And the best part is seeing him play live. He loves this job.

Wait til you see them live!
I had heard fiction stuff here and there on the radio and was surprised to find them slated to appear at a club in Jackson, TN where I live. Was blown away by what this band does with "this is fiction" material live. Great songs, great playing! The harmonies on this disc are worth the price of the thing alone.

Breathes new life into power-trio rock
Just when you thought the guitar-based power trio was a thing of the past- along comes a band that makes me want to pull out my old Cream, Jam and Police records. I love "This Is Fiction", especially some of the more soul-inflected stuff like "I Can't Do It Anymore" and "Fly Away". Can't wait to hear what's next from fiction.

amazing, passionate and innovative
Have to say I'm pretty blown away by "this is fiction". These guys manage to sneak in some pretty ambitious twists musically and lyrically while coming off like a guitar band. More!!!!!

I love this band!
I love this band! Their playing is tighter than Christ, their songwriting impeccable, and every song has *something* in it that makes you say Wow! My particular favorites are the crunchy "Gold" and the twisty-turny "Square," and I don't EVER want to be on the receiving end of a "Just Because I Love You," which Bob sings the living sh*t out of!

creative, talented, entertaining
This is Fiction is a great album. This is an exciting new band! "I Could Cry" is a great display of their talent and creativity. The music is never boring - a great listen!
